Vocabulary register
The directory does not stand alone. This register lists the external vocabularies and standards it references, and the role each plays here.
| Vocabulary / standard | Role for this registry |
|---|---|
| ISO 7372:2005 / ECE/TRADE/362 | The publication itself — the directory transcribes its 2005 edition. Official pages: UNECE, ISO. |
| ISO 6422 (UN Layout Key) | The master form. The UNLK reconstruction plots the directory’s bridges onto its grid; zone semantics (utd:UnlkZone) speak its line/position language. |
| ISO 3535 | The layout-chart grid the UNLK is drawn on (A4, image area, standard boxes). Cited wherever geometry matters. |
| UN/EDIFACT D.05B (EDED, UNCL) | The electronic counterpart of the directory. The alignment page documents the tag join and its results. |
| ISO 11179 | The naming discipline behind the element names (object class · property term · representation term), as the publication’s foreword records. |
| ebXML CCTS (ISO/TS 15000-5) | The core-components framing the 2005 revision aligned its entries to; recorded here as context, not consumed as data. |
| UN Transparency Protocol (UNTP) | An interop target, not a source: a product-passport payload can cite TDED elements by IRI (see the context guide). No content is imported from it. |
Policy
- The registry consumes exactly one source: the publication’s own text, digitized and verified as described in the provenance note.
- External vocabularies appear as citations, alignments, or interop examples — never as inputs to the data.
- Every alignment claim (e.g. the EDIFACT join) is generated from data and reproducible from the dataset repository.
